C.F. Yankovich
P.O. Box 2548
Phoenix, AZ 85002
(602) 252-2638
Growing up in the sixties, C.F. Yankovich spent weekends curled up with her uncle's discarded collection
of Edgar Rice Burroughs novels. Most of her allowance ended up at the corner drugstore, traded for
paperback science fiction from a battered bookrack. At the University of Iowa, she studied physics and
math, worked as a technician for the space sciences group (headed by the legendary James Van Allen),
and passed weekends selling paintings at student art shows along the riverwalk.
Currently, she spends her days disguised as a meek programmer for the State of Arizona, and her
evenings writing and painting. Primarily a space and science fiction artist, she is a life-time member of
both the International Association for the Astronomical Arts and the Association of Science Fiction and
Fantasy Artists (ASFA). Her art has appeared in AD ASTRA, ANALOG, and MARION ZIMMER
BRADLEY'S FANTASY MAGAZINE. Collectors of her work include author Rick Cook.
Her works have appeared in many local, national, and international exhibitions, including the Hub
Gallery, the Fiske Planetarium, the Casa Grande Art Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History,
the Bergen Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History.
